Crowd-funding the Happy Space app
App Aid 2013 was a Vodafone Foundation initiative designed to help create apps for five Australian non-profit organisations. We were partnered with Starlight Children’s Foundation to refine their app idea and to understand how implementing their idea would add value to both the organisation’s business processes and its supporters.
The App Aid competition was designed to leverage crowd-funding to fund the full development of the apps, beyond the prototypes created as part of App Aid 2013.
We created a working prototype to demonstrate the functionality and user experience of the app. We worked with Starlight Children’s Foundation to setup the Happy Space App crowd-funding profile on Australian crowd-funding platform, Pozible.
Our crowd-funding initiative went on to raise a total of $35,000 towards the continued development and implementation of the Happy Space App.
